WHAT IS CLT?
CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) is a load-bearing construction material made entirely from solid wood, typically consisting of 3, 5, or 7 layers of wooden sheets glued alternately and perpendicularly. This layering provides high strength in both directions, as well as structural rigidity.
Its high density and open diffusion make CLT one of the most impermeable building materials, allowing structures constructed with CLT to autonomously regulate humidity levels inside. Additionally, the phase shift effect achieved through alternating perpendicular layers of wood gives CLT buildings high thermal capacity. They heat up slower in summer and cool down slower in winter.
For allergy sufferers, an important aspect is that walls and floors made of CLT do not generate static electricity, significantly reducing the amount of dust moving around inside the building.
MODULAR STRUCTURE
Our buildings are created using modular technology, based on CLT modules. This allows to create buildings characterized by exceptional structural strength. Crafted from beautiful solid wood with high thermal and acoustic insulation properties, they are resilient to shocks, the elements, and pests. They feature practical spaces with a modern yet cozy finish.
The modular nature of the buildings allows for great flexibility in shaping space and size, while significantly reducing on-site construction time to as little as a single day. Modern modular wooden construction based on CLT is becoming the technology of the 21st century. Outstanding structural characteristics and fire resistance have led to an increasing number of CLT wooden buildings being erected worldwide, including houses, schools, kindergartens, office buildings, and hospitals.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The high quality finish of our buildings results from the fact that most of the construction processes take place in our production facility. Here, the individual modules are assembled from custom-cut large-format CLT panels, and then equipped with carpentry, thermal and acoustic insulation elements, and all the necessary fixtures and fittings. This is known as the prefabrication process, and can be conducted independently of weather conditions, in an optimal and comfortable factory environment.
Simultaneously, foundations and utility connections are prepared at the construction site. Once fully equipped, finished, and even furnished, the modules are delivered to the site and assembled together to form the final shape of the building.
All of this optimizes and shortens the construction process, resulting in a durable and airtight structure with high insulation and acoustic performance. A structure that is natural, environmentally friendly, and promotes health.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS
